I always wanted to help people, and I knew I wanted to change the job I was in. I was already training to be a counsellor when I went through babyloss, miscarriage, infertility and TFMR. I know how isolating it is, how much of a rollercoaster it is, and this has helped me decide to support people through these issues and as my specialism. I’m passionate about helping people to feel more supported and listened to when going through babyloss, miscarriage, infertility and TFMR.
I started my training at Cheshire College South and West in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire and in 2017 started placement at a charity in Preston called Cedar House, which allowed me to see a variety of clients. I qualified in 2019 and set up my private practice in 2020, which I love. Alongside my private practice I have been working for a charity in Southport called Cradle since March 2023, facilitating and hosting support calls for those going through babyloss and pregnancy loss. I’m a registered member of BICA and an accredited member of NCPS. I regularly complete CPD, such as the BICA Foundation Course for fertility counselling (CPCAB Accredited). You will find me on the recommended counsellors lists for the Pregnancy Sickness Support, the Miscarriage Association, Arc (Antenatal Results and Choices), and Cradle. I am also on BUPA's list of recommended counsellors.
